Andrew Walker: Chief Executive Officer

Andrew is a founder and Chief Executive of Portaltech, setting up the business with Paul Tough in 1999. Prior to this Andrew began his career as a Management Consultant at PwC working in their emerging technologies division, with time spent operating in the United States and the United Kingdom. Andrew has also worked extensively in Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Under Andrew’s guidance Portaltech now boasts an impressive client list that includes LK Bennett, Bombay Duck, The Body Shop, The Royal Mail, Long Tall Sally, Premier Farnell, Sony, and Vodafone, and has offices in London, California and India.

Despite the dot com bust, savage competition from offshore firms and the current credit crunch, Andrew has steered Portaltech to achieving 40% year on year, profitable growth. Andrew’s leadership and commercial vision is the linchpin of Portaltech’s success and his leadership of the management team drives the development of new, exciting markets and pioneers customer propositions in the eCommerce space.

Paul Tough: Chief Technology Officer

Paul is a founder and Chief Technology Officer of Portaltech, setting up the business with PwC colleague, Andrew Walker in 1999. Paul’s previous roles included time spent at PwC and Fujitsu in technical consulting roles.

Paul is the leader of Portaltech’s technical vision and project delivery capability. It was Paul’s deep technical knowledge and commercial awareness that convinced the first customer that Portaltech, despite being newly formed, could deliver where a top 5 global consultancy had failed. Since then Paul has directed consulting and technical teams to deliver numerous high profile project in the eCommerce space. He is also responsible for the technical vision and delivery of Portaltech’s latest products including QuickLive and StripeyLines on which the company’s future will be built.

Mark Adams: Sales & Marketing Director

Mark joined Portaltech in 2005 and is a Director with responsibility for the sales, account management and marketing teams. His previous roles covered sales and business development with web and marketing agencies and software vendors specialising in web based ERP and Human Capital Management solutions.

Mark has been a key instigator in the recent success of the company, helping to expand the client base and revenues in line with the business strategy. Mark has driven the commercial vision for the QuickLive product and leads on the company’s key commercial relationships with software vendors and eCommerce services organisations.

Rachel Wilkinson: Head of Brand & Retail

Rachel has a background working for multichannel retailers Woolworths and The Early Learning Centre and expertise in brand development, marketing, product development, licensing and buying for international retailers and global brands.

Rachel is responsible for the strategy and execution of integrated multichannel eCommerce and mCommerce brand and marketing solutions across all customer touch points. Rachel will challenge and drive clients to consider the application and implementation of  their brand values and attributes and act as the interface between technology and the online retail experience.
