Systems Developer
We are seeking highly motivated professionals to join our expanding team as Technical Consultants.
Portal Technology provides business and technology consulting services, systems integration, technical architecture and bespoke development specifically around enterprise portals, content management and personalisation.
The role will be as diverse and challenging as you make it with responsibility given from day one. Your duties will include working along the full software development lifecycle to deliver high-end web solutions and integrations with blue chip clients. You will be a team player who is enthusiastic about web technologies and wishes to be part of a growing centre of excellence in the development of real world portal and web solutions.
Requirements:
- Degree educated with a first in Computer Science or a related numerical or scientific discipline and a consistently strong academic record;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- The ability to work on challenging assignments on your own without direct supervision;
- Excellent interpersonal skills. As comfortable in front of the client as a computer;
- A team player capable of delivering quality system components to time and budget;
- Capable of working with clients at all levels;
- Right of abode to live and work in the United Kingdom, without restriction;
- Willing to travel overseas for onsite assignments if required.

Technical Skills:
- Stimulating and technically challenging working environment;
- Experience in any of the following advantageous: SQL, web development (HTML, css, Javascript), Unix/Linux;
- Experience in any of the following would also be an advantage: PHP, JSP, Java Beans, Servlets, EJB, distributed computing, HTML, UNIX, J2EE, Websphere, Weblogic, Documentum, Plumtree, Hummingbird (PC Docs).
